| Purpose of 2011-2012
I. PURPOSE
A. Business Studies (Secondary 6-7)
1. To provide students with knowledge on the functions of the various commercial activities, with particular reference to the Hong Kong situations.
2. To provide students with knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of the operation of the various types of business organizations.
3. To develop in students an understanding of the role of business activities in the modern world.
4. To develop in students an awareness of the changing and integrated nature of business problems and an ability to explore and deal with these problems.
5. To develop in students the skills of analysis, synthesis and evaluation in the context of business decisions.
6. To develop in students the competencies and attitudes in playing the various roles in the business world.
B. Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (Secondary 4-6)
1. To provide students at senior secondary level with fundamental business knowledge and skills, and develop their positive values and attitudes, so that they can fulfill their roles competently and confidently as consumers, investors, employees and/or entrepreneurs.
2. To develop students‟ generic skills in research, analysis, leadership, team-building, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving and transfer them to different domains.

. To explore different aspects of business to prepare students for life, for learning and for employment.
