IV.Work Schedule

 The teacher advisers will assist the Association in the following activities to be launched in the school year 2021-2022.

1. The team will take the lead in implementing the environmental policy and all sectors of the school community should cooperate with it.


(a) School
(i) All school parties should purchase appliances or equipment with more energy-efficient
models affixed with energy label.
(ii) Incorporate energy saving concept in curriculum in all subjects.
(iii) Remind all staff and students on regular basis of the need to save resources.
(iv) Affix “save energy” stickers near all switches as a reminder.
(v) Attach guidelines on using lights and air-conditioners in classroom. The guideline that
air-conditioners should not be switched on unless the temperature is 25.5oC or higher
should be strictly adhered to.
(vi) Appointment of energy saving ambassador. His/ her job is to remind classmates to keep
the classroom clean and save energy.
(vii) Put up a robust statistical chart to display conspicuously meter readings as well as the
electricity bills of the school for current school year side by side with those of the
previous year as a comparison to show the effect of energy saving actions and
initiatives.
(viii) Carry out the litter /waste audits to show the litter / recycling initiatives.
(ix) Water heaters should be switched off during night time from 6 pm to 6 am


(x) Paper :-
(i) Use blank side of used paper for drafting
(ii) Print on both sides of the paper
(iii) Use recycled paper
(iv) Minimize photocopies


(xi) Air-conditioners :-
(i) Keep windows and doors closed to minimize air filtration
(ii) Lower window blinds or curtains to reduce direct sun light
(ii) Clean air-conditions and dirt filters regularly

(b) Moral & Civic Education Committee (Responsible for education and services)
(i) Through using worksheets and appropriate activities, introduce to students the
importance of “4R’
(ii) The Lei-Tak Association and Conservancy Club are responsible for displaying the
“Theme of the Month” on their notice boards to disseminate environmental
conservancy and energy saving concepts and information.
(iii) Classroom Cleaning Programme

(c) Conservancy Club
(i) Litter / recycling initiatives
(ii) Logo design competitions will be carried out regularly with energy saving as the theme.
(iii) Activities and campaigns will be held after examination with EAC or other department
to promote students’ awareness.
(iv) Arrange visits to HK Science Museum, CLP and similar organizations so as to help
students to grasp the concept and efficient use of energy.
(v) Community-based conservancy education-Fun Fairs and stall games may be held.
(vi) Update information about conservancy should be uploaded to the school website and
that of the Conservancy Club.

V.   Evaluation
1.     The amount of use of water, electricity and paper would be reduced by at least 5%.
2.     Students are able to run the community-based conservancy educational Fun Fairs and stall games
               by themselves and have good responses from fellow students in e-survey.
3. The participation rate of joining external competitions or programmes are greater than that of
2021-2022.
